Jab We Met

Jab We Met is a 2007 Hindi romantic comedy film. Directed and written by Imtiaz Ali, the film, produced by Dhillin Mehta under Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision Ltd, stars Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor in their fourth film together. Dara Singh and Saumya Tandon, prominent actors from the north Indian film industry, played the roles of the lead character's relatives in the movie.

The film tells the story of a feisty Punjabi girl who is sent off track when she bumps into a depressed Mumbai businessman on an overnight sleeper to Delhi. While attempting to get him back on board when he alights at a station stop, both are left stranded in the middle of nowhere. Having walked out of his pressurised corporate job, the man has no destination in mind, until the girl forces him to accompany her back home and then on to elope with her secret boyfriend.

Releasing in the U.K., a day before its worldwide release of October 26, 2007, the film went on to become a major hit at the Indian box office as well as doing good business overseas. Owing to its success, the distributors of the film, Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision Ltd, announced that Jab We Met would be remade by corporate entity Moser Baer in four South Indian languages -- Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam

Bhool Bhulaiyaa

U, Me Aur Hum

U, Me Aur Hum marks Ajay Devgan's directorial debut which is also produced and written by him. He also stars in the film along with her wife Kajol, Karan Khanna, Isha Sharwani, Rituparna Sengupta, Sarika, Sumeet Raghavan and Divya Dutta. Wikipedia says it's Ajay and Kajol's seventh film together, but I can't remember which ones they are.

U, Me Aur Hum is about Ajay and Pia who meet on a cruiseship and despite Ajay's bad first impression in the form acting like fool while drunk they get married. But later Pia is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, the film show how they cope with the problems that come with the disease. I haven't seen the film yet, but from what I've read so far about it, it seems quite similar to the 2004 Korean film called A Moment to Remember. Now I'm not flaming Ajay for copying here, just saying they SEEM similar. I just hope that Ajay has made a good movie. Those of you who are into Korean films, watch A Moment to Remember. It's an amazing but sad film.

This film is based on reincarnation. The film starts in 1977. At first, a junior artist Om Prakash Makhija (Shahrukh Khan) falls for Shantipriya (Deepika Padukone)an actress famous for her beauty. Om feels happy that she likes him. But, his heart breaks when he comes to know that she loves another person. Shantipriya dosen't know that the man whom she likes is a very bad person with evils thoughts. Alas one day Shantipriya is murdered by him. At the last moment Om finds Shantipriya but sadly dies. He could not bear it and he too passes away. But story is not ended.... 30 years on, Om Kapoor (Shahrukh Khan) takes birth. But only he can recognize the murderer of Shantipriya in previous life. And Sandy (Deepika Padukone) also takes birth. This film picturises how Om Kapoor and Sandy recognize themselves and find the culprit.

Music of Om Shanti Om is directed by the wonderful duo Vishal-Shekhar. I'm listening to Dard-e-Disco as I'm writing this and it's a superb song. I have listened to all of them, and I absolutely love them (most of 'em, not all ;p). Great music and great lyrics penned down by Javed Aktar himself. SO don't wait and start downloading!!!!
